Short Story: A different trip

In L/L wrting we worked with short stories. So as a final task for the unit we worked we had to write a short story. But we must include 1 dialogue as a minimun, the last sentence of the story had to be ...and she was the last time he saw her or a similar phrase with the same idea and the story must have between 400 and 550/600 words. Here you have my short story.

A different trip

Last autumn, Allison Fitzgerald, a Canadian teenager travelled with her
parents to New York. Aria and Ezra Fitzgerald went to New York on a business
trip. She was very excited to be in such a gorgeous city for her first time,
although she was afraid to get lost in such a magnificent city.

They flew to New York on March 21st . The three of them were happy to
spend time together in NYC, although the couple had to work a little bit. At
3.00 pm the family arrived at Toronto Pearson International Airport (TPIA).
They had three pieces of luggage and two hand bags. They checked their
luggage and went to get a coffee near the gate where they would board later.

At 7.00 pm they arrived at JFK (John F. Kennedy Airport). They picked their
luggage and took a taxi to their hotel, the Fairfield Inn & Suites, in Times
Square, where they planned to stay three nights. They had a cosy room, and had
dinner there, because they were exhausted.

The following morning they got up at 10.00 am. They had breakfast in the
spacious lobby. While they had the breakfast, Allison´s parents taught her
how to get around the city.

“So, Allison, what’re your plans for today?”, Aria asked.
“Mmmmm, I think that I will visit Brooklyn’s Bridge, the Statue of Liberty,
9/11 Memorial, the MoMA, the Empire State, the Rockefeller Center”, Allison
answered.
“I don’t think you will be able to go to so many places in one day. You
should organize your visits in three days at least”, Ezra added.
“Ok, I will do that”, Allison replied.
“Subways in New York are the best means of transport. But you must be
careful. Pick the right color and the right way”, Ezra advised her.
“Take this map, dear. It will help you to plan your day”, Aria said.
“Thanks Mum, thanks Daddy. I love you. See you later for dinner”, Allison answered excited.
Then, Aria and Ezra went to work and Allison stayed in the hotel to plan her day.

Allison decided that she would visit the Bridge, the Statue, and the Memorial
that day, leaving the other ones for the following days.

She went to take the subway. She looked at the map. She should take the
yellow line and get off at City Hall station. She didn’t like the subway very
much, it was filthy and deserted.

The City Hall station was under construction and the subway went directly to
Brooklyn, but Allison hadn’t realized about that.
Allison got off the subway and tried to find someone to ask for help. It was
getting dark so she started walking quickly looking for someone to help her.

While she was walking, she crossed a dark and shabby street.  She was scared
and shocked.

Suddenly, she saw a group of teenagers smoking and drinking alcohol, just
around the corner. She started running.

“Hey guys. Look at that precious girl! She doesn’t live here”, Antony whispered.
“Yeah, she looks lost, and scared. She must be another tourist lost in
Brooklyn”, Peter added.
“Tourists mean money, let’s go and get her” Marc shouted.
The teenagers ran after her and caught her. They grabbed her arm and put a
handkerchief with chloroform on her mouth and nose.

That was the last time everybody saw her.
