The use of private cars

In the class of writing, we wrote an essay about a the use of the private cars and its disadvantages and what the government should do in order to improve them. 

Currently, the use of private cars in the city centre is much popular than the use of public transports. This brings many disadvantages not only for the environment but also for people. In order to intercederé and take certain measures. 

On the one hand, the government should invest money in public transports. In this way, they will improve the way in which people travel and so, less private cars will be used. The government should build special lanes for buses and increase the amount of public transports: buses, trains and subways. However, it should also improve the quality of the service. they must be clean, cheap and comfortable if they want to encourage people to use them. 

On the other hand, the government should make people aware of the of the importance of the use of public transports. People should be educated and informed about the different impacts that using so many cars produces. Almost every means of transport release fumes to the atmospher, producing air pollution and smog. However, this not only harms the environment, it also causes many health problems to people since they produce noise and visual pollution too, in addition to the lung problems the fumes can make. Moreover, the big amounts of which cars circulating produce traffic jams and accidents which can cause stress on people driving. Besides, using your car daily involves a large budget. 

Takin everything in consideration, if the government make people become aware of the disadvantages and improve public transports, they could come up with great results. They will obtain a cleanner city and atmosphere and a better economy too. Besides, it will also contribute to people's health.

Who am I?

In the ELT class, we had to write a cpmplete description of us. I share my work.

My name is Jimena I live in Buenos Aires and I´m in 5th year. I´m 16 years and I have an elder brother called Marco who is 20 years old and studies engineering at UADE. My mom, Matilde, is a lawyer and my dad, Daniel, is the owner of a toys store. We are a united family, we love each other a lot.

Talking about my physical appearence, I'm tall and thinI have long, blond, straight hair, small brown eyes and tiny red lips. I wear big black glasses.


In relation to my personality I consider myself kind and polite. I'm also a generous and honest person. If I feel comfortable, I my be very talkative. I´m really responsible and hardworking. Moreover, I´m quite demanding with myself.

In my free time I like going to the gym, hanging around with friends, watching films and using my cellphone. In addition, I´m keen on cooking and I enjoy dancing and singing.

To conclude, I´m a perseverant person and I always try to give the best of me in order to achieve my goals. I never give up and if the results aren't the expected ones, I'll try harder the next time. Besides, I'm a charming person. Furthermore, I'm really sensitive and caring. I love my family a lot, they always encourage and support me, they are a great pillar on my life.
